General Medicine PROGRAM

General Medicine (HA) is 3 years courses designed by CTEVT. The course is of 40% theory and 60% practical in nature. Almost all the theory and practical classes are conducted in this institute and professional practices are arranged in well established & reputed hospitals, nursing homes, health posts, sub health posts and other health institutions within and outside Kathmandu Valley.

Scope: 

Certificate or diploma level courses in General Medicine typically provide foundation knowledge and practical skills in basic medical sciences and clinical practices. These programs are often designed to train healthcare professionals such as medical assistants, health assistants, or community health workers who work under the supervision of medical doctors.

 Criteria: 

The criteria for admission to certificate or diploma level courses in General Medicine at Human Resource Development and Research Institute include:

Educational Qualifications: Applicants should have completed their secondary education (10th grade) or equivalent.

Entrance Examination: HuRDRI conducts entrance examinations to select students for these programs. The exam may cover basic science subjects and general aptitude.

Nepali Citizenship or Equivalent: Applicants may be required to be Nepali citizens or provide documentation of equivalent status.

Other Requirements: Additional requirements such as a minimum GPA of 2.0, letters of recommendation, or an interview may be conducted.

Fee Structure:

The fee structure for certificate or diploma level courses in General Medicine includes Rs. 404,000.

First Installment– 40%

Second Installment– 30%

Third Installment-30%

As with undergraduate programs, there may be additional expenses such as hostel fees, exam fees, and other miscellaneous charges.
